Francais ‘Rusty' Tullis, 70

I'm sure everyone in the free world by now has watched the movie 'Mask' (if you haven't then get your ass out there and rent it). It's this story about Rocky Dennis (1964-1980) who was afflicted with afflicted with craniodiaphyseal dysplasia. His mother Rusty Dennis (later Tullis) wouldn't listen to what the doctors told her about the short and painful life he would have to endure, failing eyesight, severe headaches, learning difficulties and that he might not have a full productive life. She ignored those who said that her son wouldn't be able to function in a normal school environment, he did, and ended up graduating junior high with honors. She took this whole bag of crap that the 'experts' were giving her about her son and his limitations and threw it back in their faces.
"This was not the PTA mother of the year," Phelan (the Screen Writer for Mask) said of Tullis in a 2001 interview with People. "But she was the perfect mother for Rocky. She never made him feel sorry for himself."She wasn't the model citizen, she got in trouble with the law a few times, the latest in 2002 when she went to prison for 16 months for admitting she violated her probation on a drug charge.
On October 14th she was seriously hurt in an accident when her three wheel motorcycle hit a utility pole. She never fully recovered and passed away on November 11, 2006 from an infection.

Steve Irwin, 44

I'm not a big crocodile fan. In fact during those 'fun' field trips to the Detroit Zoo the Holden Museum of Living Reptiles was my least favorite attraction. Those things are just a bit too squirmy for my taste. In fact the only time I touched a snake was during my freshmen year in high school when I was trying to impress a guy that I had a crush on. So not worth it - we ended up dating for about a day & a half. Seems as though his mother wasn't impressed with my musical tastes and smashed my Suicidal Tendencies tape that I leant him. But I'm going way off the subject at hand, aren't I? (Big Flipping Surprise there, huh?)
Steve Irwin was, should I say, in love with the whole the crocodile thing. His parents started the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park which Steve took over in 1991. His love for these creatures and his on air presence during guest spots on shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno seg wayed into his own show on Animal Plant. He just had recently decided that the ocean would be his new frontier.
Irwin was killed when he swam over a string ray and it's venomous barbs shot up to his heart. It has been determined that it was the actual puncture wound that killed Irwin rather then the venom. His death was actually caught on camera and per his daredevil mentality his family believes that the footage of his death should be made available to the public.

Darrell Russell, 29

I've been depressed pretty much as long as I can remember. I've tried drugs and loved them and want to do more but have been so cheap that I wasn't willing to dole out the cash, mainly because I loved having heat and food more. Call me crazy.
It always pains me to see people that have a huge opportunity that whittle away this chance because of drugs.
Darrell Russell was drafted out of USC in 1997 to the Oakland Raiders and was a two time Pro-Bowl player. In 2001 he was tested and ultimately banned from the NFL for a banned substance. He returned in 2003 by playing eight games with the Redskins; he last played with the Tampa Bay Bucceneers testing positive again.
He was killed December 15th in a car crash with fellow USC player Michael Bastianelli.
